When Pinterest launched in 2010, it quickly became known as a place for wedding inspo and craft ideas. For years, the platform was largely dominated by women – and ignored or even scoffed at by men. So, more than a few brands all but ignored its potential to reach highly engaged consumers.
But that was then. Flash-forward to 2025 and a growing number of Gen Z guys are heading there to get life hacks for everything from haircuts to personal finance – and creating their own boards in the process.
According to the July Pinterest Trend Report, male users now represent more than one-third of its global audience. Why? Pinterest says it’s because men ages 18-27 are seeking a community that “rejects the toxicity you might find elsewhere online – and engages with content in positive, authentic ways.”

Here's a look at how Gen Z men use Pinterest for life hacks and style inspiration. We've outlined the top content categories that young men are searching for right now, so take note if your brand is working in one of these spaces.
FITNESS
- Pilates and rock climbing
WELLNESS
- Hydration hacks and electrolytes
GROOMING
- Beard styles and healthy hair
FASHION
- Vintage grunge style, jorts style, and olderbrothercore (early 2000s aesthetic)
